The Akana Story
APIs are driving your digital business, whether you know it or not. This opens up your enterprise, applications, and systems in new ways – introducing new risks and opportunities.
Akana was founded by Eric Pulier in 2001 under the name Digital Evolution. In 2005, the company changed its name to SOA Software, after which a number of software vendors were acquired. Most notably were Blue Titan, a web services networking company, in May 2006 and LogicLibrary, an SOA Repository and Governance vendor, in May 2008.
In March 2015, the company changed its name to Akana. In 2016, Akana was acquired by Rogue Wave Software, a leader in cross-platform software development tools and high-performance computing applications, strengthening the brand’s presence in API management tools.
